WHAT IS SUMMER UNDER THE SON?

ONE BIG CONFERENCE,

TWO ENORMOUS AREAS OF DISCIPLESHIP

SPEAKERS

Peter Adam

To know Peter is to know that he prays. Peter was appointed to the role of Vicar Emeritus in 2012 of St Jude’s Anglican, Carlton. This honorary role allows Peter to continue his world-wide teaching and preaching ministry under the auspices of his local church. Peter is also a vice-president of CMS. He is currently writing a book on wisdom in ministry. He contributes regularly to the thegospelcoalition.org.au

Grishma Parajuli

Ps. Grishma is the senior pastor of Nayagaun church in Nepal. Originally from a high-caste Hindu background, Grishma became a Christian after investigating Christianity closely in an attempt to disprove it. Today his church of 1000 people has planted 11 churches.

Carlos Marcal

Ps. Carlos leads Ebenezer Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Dili, into the cathlo-animistic context of Timor Leste. Ps. Carlos is a key Christian leader and mother tongue Bible translator. He is passionate about helping Timorese encounter the Jesus of the Bible and trust in Him. He and his wife, Rita, are local partners with Chris and Grace Adams.

Jackson Wu

Jackson Wu (pseudonym) has lived and worked in East Asia for almost two decades and serves on the Asian/Asian-American Theology steering committee of the Evangelical Theological Society. He is the author of Saving God’s Face, The Gospel for All Nations and Reading Romans with Eastern Eyes. His website is jacksonwu.org

Kate Beer

Kate and her husband Tavis serve with CMS in the ministry development team of the Anglican Diocese of the Northern Territory. Kate cares deeply about, and has spent time researching how we can be developing local leaders in culturally sensitive ways.

David Williams

David Williams leads the training ministry of CMS Australia. He and his family served as missionaries in Nairobi for nine years. David is passionate about helping global missionaries, and local Christians understand the culture around them and how the gospel is good news to all cultures.

WHO IS CMS?

CMS is a mission sending community. We send long-term, cross-cultural gospel workers to gospel poor parts of the world. In short we want to see A World That Knows Jesus. We do this by raising up, training and sending gospel workers around the world, by equipping Christian leaders for church and society, and by engaging the local church in cross-cultural mission.
