Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Summer Under the Son conference?
Summer Under The Son (SUTS) is CMS Victoria's flagship global mission conference. Each year, we offer top biblical and missiological teaching to prepare you for gospel work in a multicultural world. SUTS 2026 will run across two full days. We’ve designed the program to make the most of everyone’s time with the addition of extra workshops, while keeping the schedule focused and engaging.

When and where is Summer Under the Son?
CMS Summer Under The Son 2026 will run from the 8th to 9th of January. The opening session begins at 10am on Thursday the 8th of January. SUTS 2026 is held at Syndal Baptist Church, 588 High St Rd, Glen Waverley, VIC 3150.

Why is SUTS earlier in January this year?
We’ve moved SUTS slightly earlier to make the conference more accessible for everyone. This timing helps young people feel more included in the conference and makes it easier for workers to attend before the year picks up again.

Is there a Children’s and Youth program at Summer Under the Son?
SUTS features an excellent children’s program that runs during the conference. Programs typically fill up early, so we encourage all families to register their children as soon as possible.
Program groups:
-
Under 3 (no program for under 3's)
-
Red Group (Kinder – Prep age)
-
Blue Group (School Years 1 & 2)
-
Green Group (School Years 3 & 4)
-
Yellow Group (School Years 5 & 6)
Children may also attend the main sessions under parental supervision. There is a crying room for parents and babies on site. Please note, if your child is not toilet trained, we are unable to take them in a program.
We currently cannot guarantee a youth program at conference for students in years 7–12. The availability of such program at the conference will depend on the number of youth registrants. However In future conferences, we plan to offer a dedicated youth program for students in school years 7–9.
Our SUTS Youth Camp takes place 17 January - 21 January 2026. Find out more about Youth camp here.
